Capacitar UK is a community of people across the UK. We have over 500 people who have been trained by Dr Patricia Cane over the past 20 years. Some of them are now Trainers who facilitate the four module training: Trauma, Healing and Transformation (THT). There are others who are Practitioner/Facilitators, using Capacitar practices within their work (for their own wellbeing, that of their colleagues, and that of their clients) or people who offer workshops within their communities. All of the people who have been trained are Multipliers, acting like that 'pebble in the pond', sharing the story and vision of Capacitar International across their communities. This website provides information about the activities of groups and individuals practicing Capacitar wellness work throughout England and Scotland, all of whom are effecting real change in individuals, in statutory and third sector agencies.
trainingCapacitar UK provides the Initial Trauma Healing and Transformation training over four weekend modules, at about three monthly intervals over one calendar year. We seek to support those who have completed the training to use it for themselves and also in their personal and professional contexts, thereby increasing the multiplier effect of Capacitar wellness practices. communityWe seek to support our community of Capacitar practitioners by providing ongoing training and linking together to share experience, good practice, and all that we are doing in weekly, monthly and one-off Capacitar sessions throughout the UK. Our members area is a resource which is open to those who have completed THT training and are involved in the on-going formation training. |

The Capacitar International training team responds to invitations for trainings and represents the organization in the field. In many countries Capacitar local teams and groups of multipliers have developed their own organizations and sponsor ongoing gatherings, workshops and outreach.

Participants who have taken workshops or trainings are encouraged to informally share Capacitar practices acting as multipliers with their families, friends and communities in the spirit of popular education. Many professionals, under the scope of their own practice or profession, also incorporate Capacitar practices and methods in their work, outreach, ministry or organization.
