" Capacitar practices have been very life giving for me personally and I can see when sharing with groups and individuals that it is life giving for them also. All so simple, gentle yet powerful.

The bodily practices especially can affect me deeply and move emotions in a way that telling my story can’t, releasing and flowing in a way which is healing, like a balm for my soul.

I’ve seen many instances of this with others too and it is a joy to see. Someone who said they were very angry at the start of a Tai Chi session for instance, after one of the movements felt like he had pushed all of the anger away and just felt peaceful and happy, another after a day of capacitor practices said it had been the best day of his life. I’m always humbled by the effects that such simple movements and meditative practices can have.

"I came to Capacitar through the recommendation of a friend. At the time I was struggling in my role as an independent midwife, very stressed and suffering from some trauma symptoms and very close to giving up midwifery. My first reaction when I heard about Capacitar, was primarily a strong desire to engage with this for my own wellbeing, with an awareness that it might be good to have in my midwifery practice toolkit. After the first training weekend I felt a wonderful sense of joy and hope as I realised this was connecting deeply to my inner self and my needs. As I grew stronger through engaging with the learning and practice, I very quickly realised how valuable this might be for the women I cared for and my midwifery colleagues.

During the training I ran sessions for women and midwives, these grew in popularity and I was invited to offer these within healthcare in Scotland, England and the republic of Ireland.
The feedback from the many women, midwives, student midwives and others attending these sessions has been very positive. Many have been helped immensely by the practices, including women who had deep fear of childbirth or hospitals, gaining the strength and courage to face this. Also, midwives who were unable to attend work due to trauma symptoms following difficult experiences at work, being able to return and maintain their wellbeing through regular Capacitar practice.

I have no doubt that Capacitar practices transformed my life, energy, confidence and hope, to the extent that I am still a midwife, and have had the courage to undertake and complete a PhD exploring PTSD following childbirth. I was also invited to write a chapter about the use of Capacitar to ‘Heal ourselves as midwives’ in a recently published midwifery book entitled ‘Untangling the Maternity Services’. I will continue to offer this work where and when I can within midwifery."

"As someone who has been involved in studying and practicing Holistic Therapies , or what I have always thought of as "Energy Medicine" since 1992 , as well as having a passion for Social Justice and the Awakening of Consciousness, I was immediately attracted to Capacitar’s vision "of a healed and whole world where people are united across borders in solidarity, understanding, reconciliation and peace".

I am very pleased to have followed my intuition and completed the Capacitar training as although I didn't  learn anything that I wasn't already involved with as a Holistic Wellbeing Practitioner , Tai Chi teacher and Social Activist, the way that Capacitar presented the training and course content was like a breath of fresh air.

I found Pat Cane to be a real inspiration and would go on to say that she and the Capacitar mission team are not only helping individuals to learn" simple holistic wellness practices that help them tap into the wisdom of their own body, mind and spirit," but are indeed helping to bring healing and wholeness to this fractured world of ours.

I would put Pat up with the best teachers I have come across over my many years of exploring the world of Holistic Healing , Spirituality and Awakening of Consciousness and her whole integrity and Higher Vision permeates the entire Capacitar Movement .

I am thrilled to be have been a part of the teaching team at St Antony's Priory, Durham these past few years and I am very pleased to see Capacitar now developing across the country.

So, in a nutshell, I have been very pleased to have incorporated Capacitar's healing modalities into my own work and would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to explore the training or to participate in local classes. The whole Capacitar movement is a real force for good in the world and long may it continue to flourish."

"I took part in a Capacitar training course in Edinburgh as part of my self-care and self-development because I was working with very challenging young people with complex learning needs. I had experienced body energy work through Zero Balancing and felt great benefit from this work. In my current post, as a teacher of autistic teenagers, I have used Capacitar every week as part of the mental health and wellbeing curriculum. Simple holds (halo, head, shoulders and crown) and breath work have a very calming influence on the young people and staff. This is an opportunity to teach the young people about the culture of personal respect and giving consent for others to touch and interact with them in a physical, therapeutic setting.  Everyone enjoys the safe space meditation and this eases everyone gently into the working day."
